The Department of Parks and Recreation mission is to provide and maintain a well balanced system of active and passive park sites and recreational facilities; to research, develop and implement a year round program of recreational and leisure activities for all segments of the population; to protect open space and preserve the natural resources of the Borough; to provide assistance to youth and adult organizations, cultural groups, and civic clubs in promoting their own programming through the use of facilities all for the express purpose of enhancing the quality of life for the residents of Lansdale Borough and neighboring communities.
